First Communion

First Communion
RECEIVING THE REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS CHRIS

The Second Vatican council affirmed that Parents are the primary Catechists of their children. For the faith of baptism to unfold, it is important that our faith is nurtured so that it stays alive and grows.   St. Clement Church is delighted to partner with you and your child on this journey of faith!

At St. Clement, we are dedicated to connecting your Kindergarten to Seventh Grade child to Jesus Christ and His Church. Everything we do is rooted in the love of the Gospel in to provide your child with a safe, positive environment to learn our Catholic Faith.

Grades K through Fifth
Classes are offered Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-7:45pm in the Education Center.  Spanish Speaking classes are also available and held on Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:45pm.

Sacramental Preparation
At St. Clement, First Communion and First Reconciliation (confession) is a two year preparation process for children ages 7 or older, traditionally starting in first grade.  If your child is older than second grade, we still follow a two year process through regular Faith Formation classes, but with some additional focus during the second year on the study of the sacraments.  Completion of the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and First Holy Communion) and Reconciliation (Penance) are free-standing and separate from the regular parish Faith Formation programs.
