Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

WHAT IS CATECHESIS OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD?

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, and respect for the child’s rich relationship with God. After an introduction by the catechist, the children are invited to work with the material on their own to continue their mediation.  Because children learn by using their hands, working with materials allows them to enter more deeply into meditation and nurturing their relationship with God.

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a community of children and Catechist growing in their faith to build the Kingdom of God.   For each child to fully engage and grow in the life of the  Atrium, we have limited availability in each of our Atrium sessions. We offer Level I for ages 3 –6 (younger) years of age and Level II for children ages 6 (older 6)-9 years of age.

We offer Level I for ages 3 –6 (younger) years of age and Level II for children ages 6 (older 6)-9 years of age.  Formation in the Atrium runs from September to April in the Atrium, Rooms 5 and 6 in the Education Building
