Liturgical Ministries
ALTAR SERVERS
Altar servers actively participate and assist the priest in the celebration of the Mass. Girls and boys in the 5th grade and up are welcomed to join us. Training sessions are provided twice a year, once in the Fall and once in the Spring. Please contact Deacon Neil Legner.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Our Music Ministry exists for a simple yet beautiful purpose: to love and glorify God through sacred music and to lead the faithful into a fuller, more conscious, and active participation in the Mass. By sharing our voices and talents, we strive to inspire and uplift the entire assembly, enriching the worship experience for all. At St. Clement, we believe that while we serve as the Music Ministry, the entire congregation is truly the choir joined together in praise and prayer.
Those who feel called to this ministry are invited to make a meaningful commitment through weekly rehearsals, participation at a weekend liturgy, and service on Holy Days of Obligation and special feasts throughout the year. An ability to read or follow music and to carry a tune is helpful, but most important is a willing heart and a desire to serve. Come lend your voice and be part of this joyful ministry that brings our liturgy to life.
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve our parish by assisting the priest in the reverent distribution of the Holy Eucharist during Mass. This important ministry is a beautiful opportunity to deepen your devotion to the Blessed Sacrament while serving the faith community.
Those who feel called to this ministry will receive training after completing the parish approval process. If you would like to learn more or explore becoming an Extraordinary Minister, please contact the church office. We warmly invite you to consider this meaningful way to serve.
LECTORS
Those who serve in the Ministry of Lector's are entrusted with the important role of proclaiming God’s Word and helping bring Scripture to life for the assembly. Through prayerful preparation and reflection, Readers work alongside other liturgical ministers to deepen the community’s experience of the liturgy and foster a more meaningful encounter with the Word of God.
SACRISTANS
Sacristans play a vital and caring role in preparing for each Mass, attending to the practical details that help our liturgies flow smoothly and reverently. They prepare the altar and sacred vessels, set out the bread and wine, ensure the lectionary is in place, and ready the credence table. Through their quiet, behind-the-scenes service, sacristans help create a prayerful and welcoming environment for the entire parish community.
USHERS
Ushers help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who gather to hear the Word of God and share in the Eucharist. They greet parishioners, assist with seating, coordinate the collection and offertory procession, and are prepared to respond calmly and effectively in the event of an emergency during Mass. Ushers are friendly individuals who love Jesus and enjoy connecting with others, making each person feel at home through simple gestures like a smile or handshake. They arrive 30 minutes before Mass to prepare and, at the conclusion of the liturgy, distribute bulletins to parishioners.
