Dear Alter Servers, 

My name is Edel Stephens and I am in charge of the Alter Server's schedule. First of all I am very excited that we have such wonderful young people on our teams. Welcome back to all our experienced Alter Servers and a very warm welcome to so many new ones. 

I want to explain how our schedule is set up and what to do if for some reason you cannot serve at your scheduled time.  Father Tom and I have set up Alter Serving Teams. Each Team has three servers one of which is the captain. Your team is called after your captains' last name. We have six teams for the 10:30 mass therefore anyone with that mass listed as their preference will be on a six week rotation. We have fewer teams for the 7am and 5pm vigil masses and so anyone listed with these preferences will serve every other or third week. 

As we have so many new servers, I have kept you all on your regular team and preferred days but also added days at other masses for new servers to work with experienced servers to help with the training process. 

In the future, when teams are well established it will be up to the individual to find a replacement if you can't make a scheduled mass. If you can't find an alternate, your captain will try and if that effort fails, you can contact me. Phone numbers will be made available to you. For September and October, I will be happy to make any arrangements regarding conflicts in the schedule.
